Detailed Guide to Using the "Seating Plan" Feature

Step 1: Create Tables

  1. Go to the "Seating Plan" section on the main screen.
  2. Tap "Add Table." Enter the table name (e.g., "Table 1," "Friends," "Bride's Family") and set a maximum seat limit if needed.

Why it’s needed:
Adding tables is the foundation of your seating plan, helping you visualize available space and organize guests accordingly.

Step 2: Automatic Seating

  1. After creating tables, select "Automatic Seating."
  2. The app will distribute guests to tables, keeping groups together while minimizing overlap between different groups.

Example: College friends sit together at one table, while colleagues occupy another.
Why it’s needed:
Automatic seating saves time and provides a logical starting point for further adjustments.

Step 3: Manual Editing

  1. On the seating plan screen, view table details and seat assignments.
  2. To move a guest, tap the "three dots" icon next to their name and select the desired table.
  3. To add multiple guests at once, tap the "Plus" button beside a table name and choose available guests.

Example: If two friends are seated apart, you can easily reunite them.
Why it’s needed:
Manual edits let you customize seating for a more personal touch.

Step 4: Manage Tables

  1. To rename, add, or delete tables, tap the "three dots" in the top-right corner and select "Table Settings."

This flexibility helps you adjust to changes, like adding extra tables.

Step 5: Clear Seating Plan

  1. To start over, select "Clear Seating Plan." All guests will move back to the "Guests Without Tables" section.

This is helpful if you want a fresh start or need to rethink the layout.

Step 6: Create Alternative Plans

  1. To try a new seating layout, select "New Seating Plan" from the options menu.
  2. Switch between plans on the "Seating Plans" screen. Choose the primary plan by tapping the checkmark icon.

Example: One plan for a smaller reception, another for a grand banquet.

Alternative plans give you flexibility to adapt to different scenarios.

Step 7: Download the Seating Plan

  1. To export your plan as a PDF, select "Download PDF."
  2. Use the document to coordinate with your team or print it out.
