Why is the "Guest List" Feature Important?

Planning a wedding isn’t just exciting - it’s also a huge responsibility. The guest list helps you:

  • Keep track of the number of attendees.
  • Monitor who has confirmed or declined.
  • Note specific details like companions or transportation needs.

With our "Guest List" feature, you can manage everything efficiently. For example:

  • Group guests for seating arrangements.
  • Track companions, like partners or children.
  • Add comments to remember important details (e.g., "Vegetarian" or "Needs transfer").

Here’s how to use this feature step by step.

Complete Guide

1. "Guests" Card on the Main Screen

What is it?
The "Guests" card on the home screen is your starting point.

How does it work?

  • If no guests are added, tap the "+" button to start.
  • If guests are already added, the card shows a diagram with their statuses:
    • Not invited — you haven’t sent the invitation yet.
    • Waiting for response — invitation sent, awaiting a reply.
    • Accepted — guest confirmed their attendance.
    • Declined — guest won’t attend.

The diagram gives you an instant overview.

2. Adding Guests

2.1 Adding the First Guest

  1. Tap the "+" button on the "Guests" card.
  2. Enter the guest’s name (required). For example, "Anna Ivanova".
  3. Assign the guest to a group, such as:
    • Examples: "Groom’s Relatives," "Bride’s Friends," or create your own, like "Colleagues."

2.2 Adding Companions

  • If the guest is bringing a partner or children, tap "Add companion" and enter their names. Example:
    • Main guest: "Anna Smith".
    • Companion: "Jack Smith" (husband).
    • Companion: "Sara" (child).

Why is this important?
It ensures that everyone accompanying the guest is accounted for, making seating and catering easier.

2.3 Saving Guests

  • Use "Save and add another" to add multiple guests quickly.
  • Tap "Save and close" if you’re done adding.

3. Guest List

What is it?
The guest list is where you manage all invitees.

3.1 How does it look?

Guests are grouped by category (e.g., "Groom’s Relatives"). Each guest entry shows:

  • Name.
  • Status (e.g., "Accepted").

3.2 What can you do?

  • Update a guest’s status by tapping it.
  • Add guests to groups directly.
  • Delete empty groups.
  • Reassign guests to other groups if needed.

3.3 Search and Sort

  • Search for a guest by name to quickly check their status.
  • Sort guests by status, group, or transfer needs.

4. Guest Profile

What is it?
The guest profile contains all details about a specific person.

What can you do?

  1. Edit the guest’s name, group, or status.
  2. Mark if they need a transfer. Example: "Lives out of town, needs transfer to venue."
  3. Add comments like "Requires a vegetarian meal."
  4. Manage companions: add, remove, or edit.

Why is this important?
Every detail matters. Comments ensure nothing is forgotten, and transfer options help you cater to everyone’s needs.

Example

You’ve added Anna, who’s attending with her husband and daughter. You’ve marked that they need a transfer and noted: "Child requires a kids’ menu." Now you can plan confidently, knowing every detail is covered.
